Remarks. To be conservative, we regard all specimens found by studies in Perak as Tor tambra for the time being. Past literature has treated T. tambra, T. tambroides, T. douronensis and T. soro as valid species (Nguyen 2008; Esa et al., 2013; Norfatimah et al., 2014). T. soro is now valid as Neolissochilus soro (Fricke et al., 2018) . Roberts (1999) and Kottelat (2013) were unable to conclusively determine the unique morphological markers between the mentioned species. They have also treated T. douronensis as junior synonym of T. tambra . A recent study by Walton et al. (2017) also does not support multiple species designation for Tor that occurs in Peninsular Malaysia. Thus, following Kottelat (2013), our checklist adopted the name T. tambra for specimens found in Perak.
