Carineta boulardi Champanhet, 1999

Carineta boulardi Champanhet 1999: 69 . (Beni, 350 m, Route to Ixiamas, Bolivia)

REMARKS. Another of the Carineta species with infuscation in the fore wing. Champanhet (1999) described it as related to C. cearana Distant, 1906c, C. centralis Distant, 1892b and C. illustris Distant, 1905c, all of which are found in Bolivia. The infuscation is restricted to the distal hind wing apical cells and distal apical cell 3 in C. boulardi but is found on the distal fore wing cubital cell and clavus of the fore wing and distal hind wing apical cell 3, distal anal cell 1 and wing margin of the hind wing in C. cearana, as a central fuscous spot near the distal hind wing radial cell along with marginal series of linear spots in the fore wing of C. centralis, and at the wing bases in proximal fore wing and hind wing cells extending to distal hind wing anal cell 3 through anal cell 1 in C. illustris . The infuscation is found on the apical cells of both fore wing and hind wings along with distal anal cell 3 of the hind wing in both C. boliviana and C. lydiae .

DISTRIBUTION. The species has been reported only from Bolivia (Sanborn 2013).
