Nosola paradoxa Stål 1866b: 171 . (Bolivia)

REMARKS. The expanded proximal costal margin forms an arc bringing the leading edge of the fore wing almost to the apex of the postclypeus. No other cicada has this feature making the species easy to distinguish.

DISTRIBUTION. The species has been reported from Argentina and Bolivia (Metcalf 1963c; Sanborn & Heath 2014).
