Diagnosis. Habitus similar to that in species of Japanagallia but lacks claval cross vein in the forewings. Male pygofer about 1.1× as long in lateral view as proximal height, pygofer lobes narrowed posteriorly, less sclerotized and pigmented, but dorsal border sclerotized and pigmented; about 0.35× as long as total length. Aedeagus with atrium wall well-sclerotized and rimmed, with well-developed preatrium and dorsal apodeme; shaft almost straight, compressed, slightly flared distally, anterior angle produced anterodorsally much more than ventral angle; gonopore apical. Anal collar process well-developed, as long as pygofer, rod-like deeply forked distally.

Remarks. Viraktamath (2011) adequately described and illustrated the species. Meshram et al. 2016) redescribed and re-illustrated the species.
