Stegana (Steganina) formosa Zhang & Chen, sp. nov.

Diagnosis. This species is similar to S. (S.) clavispinula Chen & Chen, 2009 in the shape of male terminalia (as figs. 1–7 in Chen & Chen 2009, Fig. 39), but can be distinguished from the latter by having the surstylus with 1 peg-like tooth (Fig. 39B); the pregonite small, with 3 sensilla (Fig. 39C, D); the aedeagus distally broadened in ventral view (Fig. 39C).
Description. Male: First flagellomere brown. Clypeus yellow. Mesonotum brown medially, brownish yellow laterally (Fig. 8G). Katepisternum yellowish (Fig. 8H). Scutellum dark brown (Fig. 8G). Halter mostly brown (Fig. Epandrium with ca. 26 setae on dorsal to posterior portions per side (Fig. 39A). Surstylus with numerous minute, serrated processes on outer surface and setulae along distal margin (Fig. 39A, B). Cercus with much pubescence (Fig. 39A). Hypandrium expanded anteromedially (Fig. 39C, D). Aedeagal sheath distally slightly dorsad curved and with several minute, serrated processes (Fig. 39C, D). Aedeagus with numerous minute, serrated processes distally (Fig. 39C, D). Subepandrial sclerite slightly vaulted, rounded distally (Fig. 39E).

Type materials. Holotype ♂ (SCAU, No. 123317, DNA #1490), CHINA: Chipen, Taitung, Taiwan, 22°45'52''N, 121°06'48''E, alt. 500m, 30.x.2012, ex tree trunk, H.W. Chen . Paratypes: 3♂ (SCAU, Nos. 123318–20, DNA #2737), other data same as holotype.
Distribution. China (Taiwan).
Etymology. From the name of the type locality " Formosa " (= Taiwan).
