Campylomyza grandiuscula SKUSE, 1890:

The holotype specimen is labelled “ C. grandiuscula  TYPE. F. A. A. Skuse” and “Aug. 21”. Preserved are the thorax, some of the legs and the abdomen, including terminalia. The structure of the terminalia indicates grandiuscula is a species of the genus Pteridomyia JASCHHOF, 2003 . The genitalic characters observed should allow recognition of this species, once fresh specimens become available for comparison and redescription. Pseudomonardia grandiusculagrandiuscula is not among the PseudomonardiaPseudomonardia species known from New Zealand (cf. JASCHHOF & JASCHHOF 2003) nor among those found to occur in Tasmania ( JASCHHOF, in prep.).
