Type locality. Peru, Dept. Huancavelica, Embranch.r.Pampas-Huancavelica, 3,800 m.

Examined material. HT ♂ (CMa at MRSN); 3 PTT ♂ (CMa, CGi, CAl) (complete TS).

Note. Species easily distinguished by the distinctive morphology of aedeagus (Giachino & Allegro 2011). The 4 specimens of the TS were found in CMa, two of them unidentified and two labelled as PTT within the TS of Ogmopleura minor Straneo, 1993 (= Blennidus rectangulus syn. nov.).

Distribution. Blennidus abditus is only recorded from Dept. of Huancavelica (Central Peru).

Habitat. The known specimens (TS) were collected at 3,800 m a.s.l., probably in an Andean grassland.
