Type locality. Peru, Dept. Junin, km 20 route Jauja-Tarma, 4000 m.

Examined material. HT ♂ (CMa at MRSN); 10 PTT ♂ and 1 PT ♀ (CMa, CSt); 1 ♂ specimen of this species is wrongly included in the TS of Blennidus angularis Straneo, 1985 (= B. rectangulus syn. nov.) (CMa).

Note. Species easily distinguished by the distinctive morphology of aedeagus, which is exceptionally long and slender.

Distribution. All the known specimens have been collected by Mateu in Dept. Junin (central Peru).

Habitat. The altitude data reported on the labels (4,000 m a.s.l.) suggest a preference of this species for the Andean grassland.
