Type area. Peru.
Examined material. HT ♂ (CTs at ZIRA).
Note. Species only known from the HT ♂, but easily distinguished by the marked metallic lustre of elytra, the shape of pronotum and the presence of a single pore on the third elytral interval. Owing to these features, B. olivaceus is likely closely related to B. idioderus and B. tenenbaumi (Lutschnik, 1927) .
