Lithocharis mauretanicus [sic] COIFFAIT, 1966: 347 ff.

Type material examined: Holotype ♂ [dissected prior to present study; aedeagus missing]: "1 / Mauritanie, Rgueibat Temba, Mateu, 5.2.58 Préparation microscopique / Holotype / Lithocharis mauretanicus Coiff., H. Coiffait det. 1966" (MNHNP) . Paratype ♀: same data as holotype, but "7.3.58" (MNHNP) .

Comment: The original description is based on a male holotype and three paratypes (one male and two females) from " Mauritania: Rgueïbat Temba" (COIFFAIT 1966). The secondary sexual characters of the holotype are illustrated in Figs 14-16.
