Evergestis shirazalis (Amsel, 1953)

Material examined. HMIM: Iran, Khorāsān-e Shomali Prov.: 1 ♂, Khosrawiyeh, Ālādāgh, 1600 m, 16.vi.1974, Rajabi, Pāzuki leg. ; Semnān Prov.: one specimen without abdomen, Shāhrud, Kālpush, 1300 m, 25.–26.viii.1982, Hāshemi leg.; SMNK: Paratype, ♂, S.-W. Iran, Shiraz hills, 10.v.1950, c 6000 ft, E. P . Wiltshire, leg. H. Amsel (ex coll. H. G. Amsel) (GS: 1896/2015, H. Rajaei), Paratype, ♀, Iran , Fars, Umgeb. v. Chiraz, 1600 m, 25.iv.1937, leg. Brandt (ex coll. H. G. Amsel) (GS: HA-2035).

Distribution. Iran: Fars (Komehr, Shiraz) (Amsel 1953, 1961).

Remarks. This species was firstly described as a subspecies of E. caesialis by Amsel (1953), but later raised to the species level (Kuznetsov 1958). In the only male deposited at the HMIM some traces of cornuti were observed, while in the examined paratype, cornuti were entirely visible, although being very small (Figs 7B, H).
