Redescription. Adult (Fig. 3). Wingspan 20.0–22.5 mm in male, 23.5 mm in female. Head: Labial palpus outer surface yellowish brown basally and white apically. Frons white, vertex with gray scales. Antenna pale yellowish brown, ciliate. Tegula fuscous. Thorax: Fuscous basally, with erect crest of ocherous scales posteriorly. Legs yellowish white, outside of foreleg, tibiae and tarsi of midleg with gray brown scales. Forewing costal margin slightly convex from base to middle, then straight; apex pointed slightly; termen straight obliquely; tornus broad; upperside ground color yellowish, costal margin reddish brown, basal fascia large and reddish brown, with some scattered white scales in distal part; cilia whitish yellow; underside pale brown. Hindwing upperside dark gray, apex and termen tinged with yellow slightly, cilia gray white; underside pale. Abdomen: Gray dorsally, pale yellowish ventrally. Male genitalia (Fig. 6) with tegumen broad and short, with large intercalar sclerite between gnathos arm and tegumen. Uncus slender and curved, pointed apically and with a few bristles. Socius long, narrowed basally and expanded terminally. Gnathos with arms thick at base, terminal part short and apically obtuse. Valva broad basally, slightly narrowed distally; costa developed. Transtilla broad, narrowed at middle. Sacculus narrow, sclerotized, reaching beyond middle, free termination quadrate in form. Juxta broad and rounded. Aedeagus slender, gently arched; coecum penis and caulis developed; vesica with sclerotized fold, cornutus absent. Female genitalia (Fig. 8) with papillae anales broad. Apophyses posteriores with broad basal plate. Lateral portion of sterigma narrow, densely spined. Antrum broad, sclerotized; ductus bursae thin; signum large and bent, somewhat L-shaped, without capitulum.

Distribution. China (Henan, Guizhou, Shaanxi).

Remarks. Neither Caradja (1939) nor Razowski (1971, 1987) provided details of the female, which is described and illustrated here for the first time.
