Urostylis atrostigma Maa, 1947: 133, 143 (syn. Hsiao 1977: 195).
DIAGNOSIS: Pronotum, scutellum, and hemelytra with dark punctures; anterior part of pronotum with slightly dark punctures, humeral angle with densely dark punctures; hemelytra with densely dark punctures; membrane transparent with dark marking (Figure 1F); abdomen with dark spiracles; lateral margin of genital capsule strongly rounded, apex thin apically with short and long setae in dorsal view, (Figure 2F); median process of genital capsule reaching to dorsal wall of capsule in lateral view, bifurcated laterally (Figure 2F), the proximal branch of process swollen and tapering to the apex, the other branch of cylinder shaped (Figure 3L); paramere relatively thick basally, especially projected in middle part, apex sharp and curved subapically, with hook-like process laterally (Figure 4F).
DESCRIPTION: Male: Body oval and elongated, length 11.19–13.52. COLOR. mostly greenish. Head: generally greenish, sometimes reddish; antennae almost brown, apex of third, fourth and fifth segment dark brown; rostrum green, apex of fourth rostral segment dark brown. Thorax: pronotum with dark punctures, anterior part with slightly dark punctures, poterior part with relatively densely dark punctures, humeral angle with densely dark punctures; scutellum with entirely dark punctures; hemelytra with entirely dark punctures; membrane transparent with dark marking; legs almost green, sometimes reddish; base of tibia with dark band, apical part brown; third tarsal segment brown. Abdomen: entirely green except for dark spiracles. SURFACE AND VESTITURE: Body slightly glossy, covered with silvery short pubescences; antenna with densely short pubescences; legs with setae. STRUCTURE. Head: width of head longer than length, mandibular plate projected as long as clypeus dorsally; length of antennae longer than length of body, first segment longer than 2 times length of head; rostrum not reaching to midcoxae. Thorax: anterior and posterior margin of pronotum rounded; mesal length of scutellum longer than width; lateral margin of hemelytra rounded; legs generally long; femur distinctly thick; first tarsal segment as long as third segment. Abdomen: margin rounded, not reaching to apex of membrane. GENITALIA: lateral margin of genital capsule strongly rounded, apex thin apically with setae in dorsal view (Figure 2F); median process of genital capsule reaching to the dorsal wall of capsule in lateral view, bifurcated laterally (Figure 2F), the proximal branch of process swollen and tapering to the apex, the other branch of cylinder shaped (Figure 3L); paramere relatively thick in basal part, especially middle part of paramere projected distinctly, apex sharp and curved subapically, with hook-like process laterally (Figure 4F).
Female: Body oval and elongated, length 14.05. COLOR: as in male. SURFACE AND VESTITURE: as in male. STRUCTURE: as in male except for genital segment. GENITALIA: lateral seventh abdominal segment right angled, not prominent, central seventh abdominal segment slightly convex and flat; gonocoxites 8 large, triangular and not touching at apex, not reaching laterotergite 9; laterotergites 8 robust and wide, its apices thin and covered by laterotergite 9; laterotergites 9 elongated, with sinuose profile, apex spatulate and in contact (Figure 5E); spermatheca semi coiled, simple widened at base of sclerotized area (Figure 5J).
