Current valid name: Plecturocebus cupreus (Spix, 1823)

Paralectotype: ZMB 264, male, adult, skull [not located], skin; Brazil, received from Museum München, donated by Spix.

Comment: Hill (1960: 122) designated a female, adult, mounted skin, skull inside (ZSM 10) in München as the lectotype. Three further paralectotypes are in München (ZSM 24, ZSM 89 a, and ZSM 89 b), and one further paralectotype in Leiden (Paralectotype, RMNH.MAM.39086).
