Holotype: ZMB 35505, old female, adult, skull, skin; Abera (Djamdjam), “Bambuswald in 3.300m Höhe” [presumably highlands east of Dilla, bamboo forest in 3.300m altitude], Ethiopia; collected by O. Neumann on 17 December 1900.
