Holotype: ZMB 218, female, skull, skin; type locality and collector unknown, ex Zoologischer Garten Berlin between 1846 and 1848.

Comment: One paratype is informed to be at the collection of Staatliches Museum für Naturkunde Stuttgart (SMNS), no. 405 from Roller´s Menagerie, without information on locality, collector, and date.
