Current valid name: Erythrocebus patas (Schreber, 1775)

Paratype: ZMB 13212, male, juvenile, skull, skin; Garua [Garoua], upper Benue, Cameroon; collected by Langheld, ex Zoologischer Garten Berlin 2 January 1906 .

Comments: The description is based on two specimens that lived in the Zoological Garden Berlin, of which Matschie determined the young female as the [holo] type. The whereabouts of the female are unknown; no marked or matching specimen could be found in the collection.
