Carasobarbus kosswigi (Ladiges, 1960)

Distribution in the area. Endemic. Known from few places only: The Botan and Batman Rivers and the Tigris below the confluence with Batman River in Turkey, the Little Zab River in Iraq and the Karkheh and Karun Rivers. In the Euphrates drainage reported from Euphrates at Ḩadithah, Iraq and from the Nahr al Khabur, a tributary of the Euphrates in Syria and Turkey.
