Material examined: One specimen (60 x 40 mm) preserved in 10% formalin; collected on 12.05.2018 near eastern jetty (10°52′72′′N 72°12′12′′E), Agatti Island, Lakshadweep. ( Regn. No. IO /IT/POY/00003)

Description: Background colour velvety black with no markings or patterns. Ventrally lighter black to grey. Pseudotentacles small and black; cerebral eyespot difficult to spot due to black body colour.

Distribution: Lakshadweep Islands (Present study), Andaman and Nicobar Islands (Sreeraj et al. 2015), India; Australia; Indonesia; Papua New Guinea; Philippines (Newman and Cannon, 2003; 2005).

Remarks: In the original description, cerebral eyes are said to be in clear area. This species is new record to Lakshadweep waters.
