Family Ilyocryptidae Smirnov, 1976 sensu Smirnov, 1992

Ilyocryptus hayli var. longiremis (Sars 1888) (i.e. in Stingelin 1913). Junior synonym of Ilyocryptus spinifer .

39. Ilyocryptus sarsi Stingelin, 1913 . It was described by Stingelin (1913) from Colombia. Neotropical species (Kotov et al. 2002, Van Damme & Dumont 2010). In Colombia, it occurs in the Andean region.

Ilyocryptus sordidus (Liévin, 1848) . Recorded by Stingelin (1913). Holartic species (Elmoor-Loureriro, 1998). Its presence in Colombia is doubtful. Unfortunately this record as well as others from South American countries (for example, Elmoor-Loureiro 1997) could not be attributed to any real species, because the papers did not contain a description of diagnostic characters to separate it from its congeners.
