Platyrrhacus helophorus Attems, 1899: 338, Pl. XIV, fig. 322 (original description).

Platyrhacus (Tirodesmus) helophorus: Attems 1938: 239, fig. 264 (combination; description; distribution).

Types: ♂ holotype from unknown origin. Deposited at the ZMH, cat. no. ZMH-A0000891 (D. Harms, pers. Comm.).

Distribution: according to Attems (1938), found on the eastern slopes of the Ecuadorian Andes (San Antonio).
