Arcydesmus comptus Cook, 1896a: 53 (original description); Moritz & Fischer 1978: 114 (type information); Hoffman & Martínez-Torres 2012: 133 (taxonomic comments).

Types: ♂ holotype from Colombia, without further locality; Thieme leg. Deposited at the ZMB, cat. no. 955, in the alcohol collection (Moritz & Fischer 1978; J. A. Dunlop, pers. comm.).

Distribution: Colombia, without a precise locality.
