Platyrrhacus retentus Chamberlin, 1941: 493, fig. 170–171 (original description).

Types: ♀ holotype from Peru, without further locality. Deposited at the AMNH, cat. no. 9479 (Chamberlin 1941), we could not confirm its current state.

Distribution: Peru, without a precise locality.
