Prosoponoides pianmaensis sp. nov. (ÉḚAEƦ) Figures 274, 286
Types. Holotype ♀, CHINA, Yunnan, Lushui County, Pianma Township, 0–4.0 km E of Sancha Lukou, 26.12218°N, 98.57546°E to 26.11750°N, 98.59509°E,
alt. 1625–1785m, 16 May 2005, D. H. Kavanaugh, Charles Griswold, Da-zhi Dong and Ke-ji Guo leg. (2005–012A).
Etymology. This epithet derives from the type locality.
Diagnosis. The new species resembles Prosoponoides dongshaofangensis sp. nov. in having a similar scape and entrance groove with about one half coil (Fig. 274B–D; Fig. 261A–C). It can be distinguised by the spermathecae C-shaped, pointing posteriorly towards the parmula in P. pianmaensis sp. nov. (Fig. 274C), whereas thumb-shaped, pointing anteriorly in P. dongshaofangensis sp. nov. (Fig. 261C).
Description. Female (holotype, Fig. 274A): Total length: 2.98. Carapace 1.27 long, 0.91 wide; cephalic region slightly elevated, yellowish brown; fovea, cervical and radial grooves distinct. Clypeus 0.11 high. Sternum longer than wide, light brown,, sparsely covered with microsetae. Labium wider than long. Maxillae long, distal end broad with scopulae. Chelicerae with two promarginal and three retromarginal teeth. Eyes: AER recurved, PER straight, slightly wider than AER. Eye sizes and interdistances: AME 0.06, ALE 0.09, PME 0.07, PLE 0.08, AME–AME 0.05, PME–PME 0.07, AME–ALE, 0.09, PME–PLE 0.08, AME–PME 0.09, ALE–ALE 0.44, PLE–PLE 0.47, ALE–PLE contiguous. Length of legs: I 5.04 (1.46, 1.56, 1.34, 0.68), II 4.46 (1.37, 1.32, 1.1, 0.60), III 2.9 (0.99, 0.83, 0.68, 0.45), IV 4.06 (1.19, 1.21, 1.05, 0.61). Leg formula I-II-IV-III. Tm I 0.33 and Tm IV 0.21. Tibial spine formula: 2-2-2-2. Abdomen 1.71 long, 1.28 wide, oval, dorsum gray, with a longitudinal black gray band, densely covered with white patches; ventral side light brown.
Epigyne (Fig. 274B–D): Posteriorly with two oval openings of entrance grooves separated by median septum, margins curved and sclerotized. Parmula round extending posteriorly from the dorsal plate, with a large pit ventrally. Vulva: wider than long, entrance grooves started from ventral wall, with about one half coil, turning points and spermathecae present dorso-mesally on apices; spermathecae C-shaped, curved, pointing away from each others; fertilization ducts long, present dorso-laterally, extending mesally.
Male. Unknown.
Distribution. Known only from the type locality (Fig. 286).
