≡ Dysoxylum kouiriense Virot in Mém. Mus. Natl. Hist. Nat., B, Bot., n.s., 4: 13. 1953 – Holotype: New Caledonia, Col de Kouiri, Virot 786 (P barcode P00625976!).

Distribution. – New Caledonia.

Notes. – See also Mabberley (1988: 25). Of pachycaul habit (cf. Didymocheton macranthus) and with the largest flowers (to 3.5 cm across) in the genus.
