Bot. Lugduno-Batavi 4: 9, 23. 1868 – Type (designated above): Dysoxylum macrocarpum (Spreng.) Blume ex G.Don.

Distribution. – Twenty-eight Indomalesian species from India and Sri Lanka to Australia and the Solomon Is. This contrasts sharply with the more easterly distribution of Didymocheton (see Heads, 2019).
