Remarks: As discussed below, the specimens erroneously reported as Amphipholis squamata by Attaran-Fariman & Beygmoradi (2016) belong in the genus Amphiodia instead. The specimen figured by them has a fully scaled disc, as is found in A. microplax, with a sharp edge that possibly bears spiny processes that are typical for A. microplax and A. obtecta (Stöhr et al. 2010) . However, the figures are not detailed enough to allow assignment of the specimen to a species.
