Generic diagnosis (Mainly after Roth (1985) and Wang et al. (2010)). Sexual dimorphism indistinct. Body small, usually yellowish brown. Interocular space slightly exceeding eye width, distinctly narrower than the width of antennal sockets. Pronotum subelliptical, posterior margin slightly convex in the middle, disc usually with symmetrical maculae and stripes. Tegmina and wings fully developed, both extending beyond the end of abdomen. Anteroventral margin of front femur Type B 3. Tarsal claws symmetrical and unspecialized. The seventh or the seventh and eighth abdominal terga of male specialized. Supra-anal plate symmetrical, paraprocts dissimilar. Male subgenital plate asymmetrical, usually with two styli and rarely with one, the shape of styli varied. Phallomeres simple.
