Bahía Magdalena, southern Baja California (Personal communication: Scripps Institution of Oceanography Fish Collection, La Jolla, California) to northern Peru (Robertson and Allen 2015), including Gulf of California (Gomon in Fischer et al. 1995) and Islas Galápagos (Victor et al. 2001).
