Rhinolophus hillorum Koopman, 1989

Five specimens of this rarely recorded species were captured in forested habitats on the Liberian side of the mountain between 780 m and 1,200 m a.s.l. A single roost was discovered in an old mine adit at Mt Tokadeh, adjacent to Mt Nimba on the Liberian side. This species was previously recorded from Liberian Nimba by Verschuren (1977) [as R. alcyone], and Wolton et al. (1982) [as R. clivosus] (see Fahr et al., 2006; Fahr, 2013 b for details of these re-identifications). All specimens had round- ed connecting processes and forearms of 53.0– 54.9 mm (n = 5).
