Rhinolophus landeri Martin, 1838

During this study, this species was recorded from forested habitat in Liberian Nimba at altitudes ranging from 550 m to 1,000 m. Despite its wide distribution (Monadjem et al., 2010 a), this species had not been recorded from Mt Nimba prior to this survey. This species closely resembles R. guineensis but was distinguished from it by its smaller size (forearm and greatest skull lengths were 42.0– 43.9 mm and 18.8–18.9 mm, n = 3). Rhinolophus alcyone is typically far larger in size.
