Xanthochilus persicellus (Kirkaldy, 1909)

Distribution in Iran. Semnan (Jakovlev 1877).

General distribution. Endemic.

Comments. Jakovlev (1877) recorded Pachybrachius luridus Hahn, 1826 from Iran (no locality cited). According to Aukema & Rieger (2011), this name is a synonym of Rhyparochromus (Xantochilus) persicellus (Kirkaldy 1909) . On the one hand, P. l u r i d u s is known in western Europe to the Alps and Carpathes mountains, and on the other hand in the Far East (Korea, Japan, Far Eastern Russia, and Pacific coast of China), but unknown in Central Asia (Péricart 1998c; Aukema & Rieger 2001). Also it was quoted in Canada by Péricart (1998c), but perhaps not a well established settlement.
