Notes: De Wit (1956) recognised this taxon as one of several varieties of the polymorphous Phanera kockiana . Subsequently Larsen and Larsen (1996) reinstated the taxon (as Bauhinia burbidgei) at specific rank before Bandyopadhyay et al. (2012) made the new combination in Phanera .
