FEMALE (Specimens measured – Uganda: 1).

Dorsum ­ Dorsal shield with few lateral striae anterior to s4, 344 long, 230 wide. Setae j1 35, j3 48, j4 24, j5 37, j6 67, J2 70, J5 8, z2 34, z4 59, z5 11, Z1 35, Z4 67, Z5 82, s4 86, S2 72, S4 43, S5 45, r3 29, R1 16. All setae smooth, except Z5 which are slightly serrate.

Peritreme ­ Reaching level of j1.

Venter ­ Ventral shields smooth. Distances between ST1­ST3 35, ST2­ST2 70 and ST5­ST5 82. With 2 pairs of metapodal shields. Ventrianal shield 107 long, 64 wide at ZV2 level and 72 wide at anus level.

Spermatheca ­ Calyx funnel­shaped, 11 long; atrium inconspicuous.

Legs –Macrosetae knobbed: Sge I 30, Sge II 32, Sge III 40, StiIII 26, Sge IV 56, StiIV 37, StIV 70.

REMARKS: Additional information provided by Swirski et al. (1998) and not presented in the original description of E. eitanae led the authors to conclude that it is the senior synonym of E. insulatus .
