Chrysis viridissima Klug, 1845
(= Chrysis viridissima fasciolata Klug, 1845, = Chrysis decolorata Strumia & Dawah, 2019 syn. nov.)
Distribution in the Arabian Peninsula: Saudi Arabia (Strumia & Dawah 2010, 2019), United Arab Emirates (Linsenmaier 1994; Howarth & Gillett 2008 as Chrysis viridissima fasciolata).
Extralimital distribution: North Africa (Linsenmaier 1968), Afrotropical Region (Madl & Rosa 2012).
Remarks: Chrysis decolorata Strumia & Dawah, 2019 was described from a single aberrant specimen, without mention of relevant diagnostic characters, instead being based merely on its unusual coloration. This is likely a case of rufinism or post-mortem alteration, as in the case of Trichrysis fulvicornis Strumia & Dawah, 2019 (see under Trichrysis longispina Mocsáry, 1912 below). Both specimens were collected in the same Malaise trap on the same day and their altered colour may be the result of a climatic event or storage conditions. The earlier synonymy of Chrysis fasciolata Klug, 1845 by Madl & Rosa (2012) with Chrysis viridissima is also confirmed.
