Chrysis lyncea Fabricius, 1775

Distribution in the Arabian Peninsula: Oman (Linsenmaier 1994 as Chrysis (Pyria) lyncea; Strumia 2008), United Arab Emirates (Linsenmaier 1994 as Chrysis (Pyria) lyncea; Howarth & Gillett 2008; Strumia 2008).

Extralimital distribution: Widespread in sub-Saharan Africa (Linsenmaier 1994 as Chrysis (Pyria) lyncea).

Remarks: The incorrect subsequent spelling lyncea is currently in almost universal use (Madl & Rosa 2012) and is therefore deemed to be the correct original spelling (Article 33.3.1, ICZN 1999).
