Hab. - Hampstead.
Female (length 3 lines) of a brown testaceous red; the legs and antennas are pale testaceous, as are also the mandibles and apex of the metathorax; the scale is small, and not notched; the head and disk of the thorax very smooth and shining; the wings ample, and deeply smoky towards their base; the nervures and stigma are pale testaceous; the head is of the same width as the thorax, the eyes pubescent.
This species closely resembles F. flava HNS, but the thorax is more elongate and narrower, the legs are stouter, and the eyes are pubescent; the female only has hitherto been captured in England.
