Material examined. INFUECO stations: BC2 0710, 1 specimen, 353 m depth; BC5 0710, 1 specimen, 237 m depth. INCOECO stations: BC3 0710 1 specimen, 220 m depth.
Habitat. The species is found in various hard substrates, calcareous concretions with the alga Lobophora variegata, and is common as endobiontic of demosponges (Pascual & Núñez 1999). Its bathymetric range is from shallow depths to around 200 m depth. In the samples studied, the maximum depth was 353 m.
Distribution. Amphi-Atlantic species, from the coasts of France to the islands of Cape Verde and Cuba (San Martín 2003; Núñez et al. 2005; San Martín et al. 2009).
