Current name: Illicium anisatum L. ( Illiciaceae).
Note: While Smith (in Sargentia 7: 30. 1947) indicated that the name was based entirely upon Kaempfer’s account and plate, this falls short of formal typification which was, however, subsequently effected by Lin.
