Current name: Iris biflora L. ( Iridaceae).

Note: As it included elements identifiable as both I. pumila and I. aphylla, the name has often been treated as a nomen confusum, e.g. by Dykes (Genus Iris: 146, 158-159. 1913) and Mathew (The Iris: 24. 1981).
