Current name: Iris germanica L. ( Iridaceae).

Note: See discussion by Dykes (Genus Iris: 6, 163, 165. 1913). Labani & El-Gadi (in Ali & Jafri, Fl. Libya 81: 7. 1980) indicated the post-1753 sheet 61.6 (LINN) as type, but this is not original material for the name and is ineligible as type.
