Measurements of one of specimen from Canary Islands (Gran Canaria): prodorsum: length 358, width 227, height 141; setae: ss 88, in 126, le 76, ro 58, ex 30; notogaster: length 656, width 404, height 454, setae: c 1 104, h 1 126, ps 1 121; genitoaggenital plate 167×119; anoadanal plate 177×91.
Diagnosis. Colour brown or light brown, body covered with strong sculpture; integument with indistinct foveolae. Prodorsum with indistinct sigillar fields; lateral carinae absent; posterior furrow present; sensilli falciform, massive, rough, obtuse distally; setae (except needle-like exobothridial) large, similar in shape, obtuse distally, covered with small spines, rostral setae largely distanced from each other. Notogaster with strong, rigid setae, relatively short (c 1<c 1- d 1), covered with small spines; setae of row c remote from anterior border, setae c 2 more, setae c 3 less than setae c 1; vestigial setae f 1 posteriorly of h 1 setae; 4 pairs of lyrifissures, ia, im, ip and ips, present. Ventral region; setae h of mentum considerably longer than distance between them; formula of genital setae: 6(4+2): 3, long distance between setae g 8 and g 9; anoadanal plates with 5 pairs of well developed setae, setae at paraxial border diminish anteriorly, small setae ad 3 situated also near paraxial border. Legs setation complete (but in one specimen setae v" of femora I are absent), seta d of femora I slightly remote from the distal end of article.
