Occurrence: Austria (Beier 1939b), Hungary (Novák 2017).

Known localities in Hungary: Kőszeg: Hörmann Spring; Sopron: next to Tolvajárok (Novák 2017).

New data: nil.

Habitat preference: According to Beier (1963a), this species has been found mostly in humus. In Hungary it was found in mixed evergreen-deciduous forest (Novák 2017).

Remarks: Neobisium (N.) noricum was described by Beier (1939b) from Austria. The species was found in Hungary close to the Austrian border, in mountainous areas which are zoogeographically under an alpine influence (Varga 1964).
