Occurrence: Albania, Austria, Azerbaijan, Bulgaria, Czechia, France, Germany, Hungary, Iran, Italy, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Spain, Switzerland, Turkey, Uzbekistan (WPC 2023).

Known localities in Hungary: Pápa: Várkert—Castle Park (Christophoryová & Červená 2020).

New data: nil.

Habitat preference: this species has been found under the bark of Platanus occidentalis . This species mostly lives under the bark of different tree species (Christophoryová & Červená 2020; Červená et al. 2021a).

Remarks: Apocheiridium ferum was recently reported by Christophoryová & Červená (2020) from Hungary.
