Mesochelifer ressli Mahnert, 1981
Remarks: This species was described by Mahnert (1981) from museum specimens collected under pine tree bark and previously identified as C. cancroides . However, the two species live in different habitats with M. ressli found in pine forests, while Chelifer cancroides prefers anthropogenic habitats, birds nests and living under the bark of deciduous trees (Mahnert 1981). Mesochelifer ressli is known from neighbouring Austria and Slovakia (WPC 2023), and it also might occur in evergreen forests in Hungary.
