DISTRIBUTION: Nayarit to Guerrero (Mexico).

COMMENT: Formerly included angelensis, coatlanensis, and sloeops, which are included in Peromyscus mexicanus; see Musser, 1969, Am. Mus. Novit., 2357:2-7. Karyotype reported by by Lee and Elder, 1977, J. Mammal., 58:479-487.
