DISTRIBUTION: Lower Don R., and N. of the Caucasus (U.S. S.R.) to Mongolia and Hopei (China), south to E. Iran, N. Afghanistan, Tsinghai and Shansi (China); isolated population in Armenia (U.S. S.R.).
