Material examined: Angola, 1 ♂, Nº 1907 (blue label), Greeff leg., 1 ♀, Nº 1907 (blue label), nº 111 (white label), old collection, box nº XIV-83, MZUC.

Remarks. The species is polytypic with eight recognized subspecies in Africa (Krajcik 2008a; Beinhundner 2017a; Schoolmeesters 2018). It was recorded for Angola by Paulino de Oliveira (1882) based on specimens collect- ed by the Portuguese naturalist José de Anchieta. Biological and ecological data are not available for this species.
