Distribution: Global: Middle America; from southern Nicaragua to northern Costa Rica, Atlantic drainages; Costa Rica: LN, RF, SJ, SC, Sa,To, Pa (Atlantic) and Be (Pacific), 35– 590 m.a.s.l., Sec, Pot.

Occurrence and conservation status: Nat, VU.
