Type locality. Pakitza, Rio Manu, Madre de Dios, Peru.

Bionomics. Immature stages of this species develop in bamboo internodes, usually with small holes produced by beetles or other animals (Harbach 1994). The species was found at an altitude of 1,032 m in the Atlantic Forest of southern Brazil (Anjos & Navarro-Silva 2008).

Arbovirus infection records. None.

Occurrence in Brazil. State of Paraná (Anjos & Navarro-Silva 2008).

Occurrence in other countries. Peru (Wilkerson et al. 2021).
